feelin' nautical

This is the shirt I got for 5 bucks at Penney's. Sah-weeet. Despite having a shower, I didn't feel like wearing a skirt today. This shirt would probably look really weird with a skirt, and I really like wearing new clothes. That is my reasoning [COUGH excuse COUGH].

mixture

I must say, the more I mix prints together, the more I love it. It's very quirky and something I would definitely not have done a year ago. And I do think that without this blog, I still wouldn't be doing it. Same for color. Looking at your outfits--well at least the ones you want the world to see--makes you see how you can get into a rut. I wear this skirt way too often, but it's the only knee-length skirt I have [not really feeling floor length right now] aside from my denim one. Time to go to Goodwill!

same sweater, different color

I told you. I love wearing newly purchased clothes. What girl doesn't? There is something so fun, new and fresh about it. Even if it is from Goodwill [which, sad to say, I haven't been in months]. My mom kind of laughed at my pink legs today. Ah well, the life of a fashionista. Yes, I just called myself that. The perils of having multiple blogs is that it gets to your head and absolutely ruins your humility. Not me of course. I am still completely devoid of pride. ANYwayyyyy....

white flowers, the II

i love this shirt I got at Target. The flowers sewed on makes it seem like I am wearing a huge brooch. It's quite fun. I loved my outift today, but there is nothing quite like changing out of Sunday clothes and into sweatpants :)

Feelin 50's

I wasn't able to get full length pictures because my family had gone camping for the weekend (I helped with a wedding on Saturday) and my full length mirror at home has a huge crack in it. The dress is a bit too short, so I wore a white skirt underneath it. I never would have thought of it on my own. I think I got the idea from Rachel at alamodest. Fabulous blog :) I put my hair up in a high ponytail and tied a black ribbon in it. I also had a white sweater, but it was hot after church so I had taken it off by the time I took pictures. oops

Patterned Dress

This is my only bold patterned dress, and I quite love it. It's really fun to pair with bright shoes. The dress is really "swooshy" and fun to spin in. It lays really nice and is a jersey fabric so it's uber comfy.

Polka dots

Another summer dress. Dress was 7, sweater was on sale at Kohl's. The hat was probably the most expensive part of my outfit :) So worth it! Wore black ballet flats and a smile =)

Classic Femininity

I love wearing feminine clothes. It's fun and it makes me happy. I don't always dress how Jackie O would, but I make an attempt to put on nice clothes on a pretty regular basis. When I was being inspired by the great fashion icon that Jackie O is, I realized that she wore pearls. Alot. I wear pearls every now and then. They don't seem to go with every outfit that a college student typically has.

Pardon the picture quality. It's just my webcam on my mac. But it will have to do. My roomie, as Jack Sparrow would say, commandeered my Nikon for the day. And yes, I did take these pictures in my shower. It's probably the best place to see a "full length" view if you can call it that. This is what I wore to church today. I felt quite lovely in it. It took me a long time to change into 'regular' clothes since it was such a fun outfit, but eventually Art History called. Anyway, I'm wearing my mom's pearls, a summer dress from Goodwill and a sweater I have had from high school. See? Good fashion doesn't mean you have to pay shocking prices :-)
